This was her first attempt at the event in a short-course meter pool, and she dominated from the start. Walsh's early lead in heat one, with a strong 100 butterfly split, set the tone for the rest of the race.

Men's 50m Backstroke - Prelims:

Hubert Kos, fresh off his U.S. Open Record-breaking performance at the Carmel World Cup, continued his dominance in the men's 50 backstroke. He clocked an impressive 22.73, just shy of his own record, and established himself as the man to beat. Dylan Carter and Kacper Stokowski also put up strong performances, with Carter posting the second-fastest time of the morning.

Women's 200m Freestyle - Prelims:

The women's 200 freestyle saw some incredible swims, with three women breaking the 1:54 barrier. Lani Pallister set the pace, narrowly missing the 1:54 mark, while Erika Fairweather broke through with a 1:53.72. Mollie O'Callaghan, the newly minted U.S. Open record holder, showed her speed once again, edging out Anna Peplowski for the win.
