Support Samba's Surgery: A Nation's Captain Needs Your Help
A National Hero's Journey to Recovery
Sabitra Bhandari, known as 'Samba' to her fans, is a beacon of hope and inspiration for Nepal's national football team. Her story is one of resilience and determination, having overcome countless challenges throughout her career. Now, she needs your support to rise again.
Samba has carried the hopes of an entire nation on her shoulders. As captain of Nepal's women's national football team, she has inspired countless young girls to dream big and believe in the power of perseverance. Her journey has never been easy, and every goal, every milestone, has come through sacrifice, discipline, and relentless determination.
Through sheer hard work, she earned an overseas contract with Wellington Phoenix FC, proudly representing both Nepal and New Zealand on the professional stage. Wellington Phoenix has always extended their support, providing fully funded surgery and rehab in New Zealand. But Samba is aiming for something even better: a surgery at Aspetar in Qatar, Doha, one of the world's leading sports medicine facilities.
A National Icon in Need
Despite being a national icon, Samba is facing a challenge. The ANFA (Nepal Football Association) has not provided adequate support, leaving her to turn to the people who have always stood behind her. Her last surgery was supported by the ANFA, but the current leadership has denied her support and kept her waiting for more than 6 weeks, ultimately refusing any administrative help.
Samba has given her all for Nepal and created some of the biggest moments in the country's football history. Now, it's our turn to stand by her.
Help Our Captain Rise Again
Let's rally behind Samba and help her get the treatment she deserves. Your support will make a difference in her recovery and allow her to continue inspiring generations to come. Together, we can help our captain rise again and write the next chapter of her remarkable journey.
