Brace yourself for a late twist in UFC’s 2025 lineup: another fight has been added to the year’s final stretch. While UFC 323 seemed to close out the PPV calendar for 2025, there’s still one more card brewing before the long break.
UFC Vegas 112, headlined by Brandon Royval versus Manel Kape, is set to headline this weekend at the Apex in Las Vegas, and the card just got a notable boost. Yaroslav Amosov is slated to make his UFC debut against Neil Magny at welterweight, a marquee addition that has excited fans.
Now, fresh reports indicate that another seasoned veteran will welcome a new challenger on the same night. King Green is confirmed to fight debutant Lance Gibson Jr. at UFC Vegas 112. Green had been anticipated to return on December 13 in a previously announced graphic, facing an opponent not yet named at that time.
Gibson Jr. arrives with a striking background from Bellator, where he went 5-1 from 2019 to 2023, before posting back-to-back first-round finishes since leaving the promotion. He’ll take on Green, a 39-year-old veteran making his UFC debut on short notice at 160 pounds after Green’s earlier knockout setback at the hands of Mauricio Ruffy and after an August matchup with Diego Ferreira was canceled due to Green’s injury.
Reports from outlets like Marcel Dorff and statements from Gibson Jr.’s management confirm Green’s opponent for Saturday. Gibson Jr., a Canadian fighter, will be stepping into the Octagon on relatively short notice, while Green — the more experienced performer in the matchup — brings a two-decade-long lineage in the sport to their clash. It’s also worth noting that Gibson Jr. is a second-generation UFC fighter, following in his father Lance Gibson’s footsteps, who competed in the UFC from 1997 to 2002 and fought notable names such as Jermaine Andre and Evan Tanner.
The weekend’s event thus features a blend of fresh UFC entrants and familiar veterans, increasing intrigue as fans await the fast-approaching fight night.
