The club was fined for failing to control its supporters. McClean's background is also a point of interest, having grown up in Londonderry, where he learned to make petrol bombs at a young age due to the riots.
His refusal to wear a poppy stems from Bloody Sunday, a tragic event in 1972 when 13 people were killed by the British Army during a civil rights demonstration. McClean's stance on this issue has undoubtedly added fuel to the fire in this latest incident.
